Riparian Rights in Michigan
The State of Michigan defines riparian rights as “those rights which are associated with the ownership of the bank or shore of an inland lake or stream.” This resource was created to provide riparian property owners and members of the general public an outline of essential information pertaining to those riparian legal rights and limitations associated with owning stream bank or inland lake shoreline constituted private property in Michigan. Invasive Species
There are many different invasive species in our lake. Here are some link to information that you may find useful.
Shoreland focus: Purple Loosestrife, identified in the Public Access area and on the Camp Eberhart shoreline of the lake. This invasive species is pretty but it deadly, as it chokes out our native plants that are crucial to keeping a balanced eco system.
